First we giggle. Then we repeat syllables. Then words. All this because we want to interact and also because we want to. But suddenly something truly magical happens: we combine several words and make a new construction. We’re no longer imitating or repeating. We’re saying something about our surroundings. These are our first sentences, precious and unrepeatable. What do they say about us? More importantly, what do they say about the world? This short film, based on the book of the same name, is full of entire sentences that someone said for the first time.
